It may look like an ordinary townhouse inside but this 4-story Sharifi-ha House has a built-in system which allow each of its rooms to rotate up to 90 degrees depending to resident‘s mood or need for privacy, or the weather conditions. The house is located in Tehran’s leafy Darrous district. It considered one of the most affluent and fashionable.
The innovative design mimics the architecture of old Iranian mansions, both had summer and winter living rooms, dependent on the different climate zones in Iran. However, this modern house lets a single house adjust to the changing weather conditions with just the push of a button. Each of the wooden-looking “blocks” rotates on a base usually used for theatrical stage sets.
